About Dr Allen
Dr Chris Allen is a fully qualified Australian trained Plastic Surgeon, specialising in cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures.Education and Training
After completing six years of medical and surgical training at Monash University in Melbourne, he graduated with honours in surgery. He began his Plastic Surgery training in Melbourne at the Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit and overseas in New Zealand and Scotland at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow, recognised as one of the premier Plastic Surgical Units in the world.In 1987, he obtained his Fellowship (FRACS) from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the only statutory recognised body for the training of Plastic Surgeons in Australia.
Since then he has been practicing in all aspects of cosmetic and plastic surgery.
Memberships and Affiliations
He is the past Vice President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also an Emeritus consultant at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and teaches medical students at the University of Western Australia.Currently he is Head of Department of Plastic Surgery at St John of God Hospital in Subiaco. He also has been part of a number of voluntary overseas Plastic Surgery missions to underdeveloped countries.
