The Procedure

• General anaesthesia is usually required.
• There are several options of neck lift procedures ranging from:
  • Liposuction of fat
  • Excision of submental (neck) fat and tightening of muscle.
  • Mini or short scar facelift.
  • Full facelift.
• A neck lift is usually part of the standard facelift surgery where the muscles of the neck are tightened, excess fat is removed and the skin is re-draped to the re-juvenated contour of the neck.
• You can go home the next day.
• You can shower the day after surgery.
• Minimal bruising and swelling which disappears by 7-10 days.
• Sutures are removed after one week.
